UPMEM is an award winner of the 2nd edition of the Concours Mondial de l’Innovation 2030 – Phase 2.

On March 26th, 2018, Gilles HAMOU received the price at BPI France Hub, Paris, France, from from Anne Lauvergeon, Présidente de la Commission innovation 2030, Nicolas Dufourcq, Directeur général of Bpifrance, and Guillaume Boudy, Secrétaire Général of SGPI.

UPMEM a fabless semiconductor startup company, is recognized  for its UPMEM Processing In-Memory (PIM) technology, the next generation hardware solution for data intensive applications in the datacenter, solving server-level efficiency and performance bottlenecks.
UPMEM’s programmer friendly acceleration technology is much awaited for by big data players as Moore’s law is fading away.
UPMEM could testify on its recent benchmarks accelerating genomics or index search applications, with acceleration factors of 20x as compared to today’s servers.
With a Concours Mondial de l’Innovation contribution in excess of 1 million €, UPMEM can deepen its R&D effort to bring its PIM technology on the market in the coming quarters.
